We have added the IAFC-VCOS Leadership Program - Beyond Helmets and Hoses - for Volunteer/Combination Fire Chiefs and District Chiefs.  The one-day class will be held on Sunday, October 24 from 8:00 am - 4:30 p.m. at the Regional Public Safety Training Center in Reno, NV. 

Our 2nd Annual Chili Cook-Off Challenge and Fundraiser will be held on Monday, October 25 at 5:30 p.m.  Competition this year is open to firefighters and exhibitors.  The 2010 Chili Cook-Off team entry form, rules and handout flyer is posted on our Chili Cook-Off page.  Winning prize for the #1 Chili Cooker is $250.00 and a beautiful "chili pepper" plaque.  All proceeds will benefit the Scholarship Fund of Nevada Fire Chiefs Association, a non-profit association.

Our 2010 Conference program and Gear-On™ Training has been announced.  Keynote speakers include Chief Jack Snook, Chief Ronny Coleman, Jim Juneau, JD, Ralph Craven, Fire Chief Dennis Rubin. 

Our Gear-On™ training will be held Monday, Oct. 25th.  Classroom sessions will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 26 and Wednesday, Oct. 27.

We are pleased to have an expanded program this year, which will include a HAZMAT First Responder track. This program is sponsored by the Nevada State Emergency Response Commission and the Nevada State Fire Marshal Division.  Hands-on classes will be held on Monday, October 25.  Classroom sessions will be held Tuesday, Oct 26 and Wednesday, Oct 27.
